At Muir Trail Ranch, we sorted out the food in our resupply buckets. We had way too much food to fit in our bear canisters, so we had to leave a lot of food behind for other hikers. The second picture shows the bucket we were filling of stuff to leave behind!
Crossing the river into Kings Canyon National Park!
Ian is making this face because we requested that he get out the block of Parmesan for dinner, which was located at the very bottom of his extremely full bear canister.
We camped just on the other side of the river, in King's Canyon. We still had too much food to fit in our bear canister, so we burned a few donut holes that we were all too stuffed to eat, and we hid a freeze-dried Mountain House dinner in a bush so that I could fit my Pringles into my bear canister. I know, I know... we were bad. But the Mountain House dinner was untouched in the night.
