Day 3: Donohue Pass

Back to Day 2
Forward to Day 4

When we woke up this morning, we found frost had settled overnight on our campsite. We lit a morning campfire to keep us warm, and waited until the sun hit our campsite to dry out our tents.

The frost also settled in the valley

We saw many of these prairie dogs

We took a quick dip in the river to wash up. Quick is perhaps not doing it justice. Joel and Ian almost hurt themselves in their hurry to get out of the water after immersing themselves. So I opted to just to a quick bandanna wash.

One of many creek crossings

From the top of Donohue Pass?

We stopped to camp just before the Waugh Lake junction.

Final Tally:
12.2 miles
2300 ft up, 1400 ft down
a few prairie dogs
